Psalm 91: 9-16

9 Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—
    the Most High, who is my refuge[b]
10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
    no plague come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
    lest you strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder;
    the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.
14 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
    I will protect him, because he knows my name.
15 When he calls to me, I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble;
    I will rescue him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

Promises by God to protect and guard us.  Thank you, Lord.

Psalm 27: 7-9

7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud;
    be gracious to me and answer me!
You have said, “Seek[d] my face.”
My heart says to you,
    “Your face, Lord, do I seek.”[e]
    Hide not your face from me.
Turn not your servant away in anger,
    O you who have been my help.
Cast me not off; forsake me not,
    O God of my salvation!

To seek the Lord's face, His recognition--
Forgive our sins, Lord and prepare us to serve you better!

Joshua 5: 12

12 And the manna ceased the day after they ate of the produce of the land. And there was no longer manna for the people of Israel, but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

When I am in a desert, God sends spiritual and physical nourishment.  As soon I am healed, God will send a new fruit to feed me.

Josh 3: 5

Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

Prepare yourselves for God's miracles!  It's part of His promises.

Joshua 1: 3-9

Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your territory. No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success[a] wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

What an amazing number of promises!  We can claim territory for heaven just for walking about.  No man will be able to stand against you.  God will never leave or forsake you.  Be strong and courageous is repeated 3 times.  A reminder not to be afraid.  God will be always with you.  Thank you, Lord.

Malachi 3:9-12

You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. 10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. 11 I will rebuke the devourer[b] for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. 12 Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts.

Tithe the best part of your time, joy, love, service, sacrifice to God and He will return the blessing to you abundantly!

Luke 9:23-27

23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. 25 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself? 26 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. 27 But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”

Jesus preparing us to follow, always follow him.  Giving him the control is not easy for me--I stubbornly keep trying though.

James 2: 8

If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.

James 5: 7 & 8

Be patient, therefore, brothers,[a] until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

While we are suffering it is hard to wait on the Lord, wait any way.  Strengthen your relationship with God and wait with expectation for He plans for you.

James 3:17 & 18

17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. 18 And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

True wisdom is God-inspired and Spirit-breathed!

James 3: 13

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

A sign of wisdom to be humble before others!  May God bless your day--being other-centered.

James 1: 19 & 20

19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Human anger often is because we forget to put others first.  One of my children got angry today and started pulling a prized possession of a family member apart.  The reminder that my anger is always forgiven by God and usually by my family, but it is undeserved grace.

James 1:9-11

Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, 10 and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass[c] he will pass away. 11 For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.

We are to humble ourselves with friends, family, and acquaintances.  God wants our best service to all. Help me to be more humble especially about teaching!

Please invite any friends that need this.  I want to know what you want for prayer requests also; I will pray for each of you each day.

James 1:2-4

Count it all joy, my brothers,[b] when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
