Ezekiel 22:30-31English Standard Version (ESV)
30 And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none. 31 Therefore I have poured out my indignation upon them. I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath. I have returned their way upon their heads, declares the Lord God.”
Genesis 18:32-33English Standard Version (ESV)
32 Then he said, “Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak again but this once. Suppose ten are found there.” He answered, “For the sake of ten I will not destroy it.” 33 And the Lord went his way, when he had finished speaking to Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place.
Before the Lord destroys Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham bargains for Righteous men living in S & G.
John 7:17-18English Standard Version (ESV)
17 If anyone's will is to do God's[a] will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. 18 The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood/unrighteousness in him.
We seek to be righteous, but can't make it on our own. When we accept God's words and teach for His will, there is no falsehood or unrighteousness in us. Praise God when that happens!
