Holy Spirit Shows Nations that God is Lord

Ezekiel 38:23English Standard Version (ESV)

23 So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

Joel 2:28English Standard Version (ESV)

The Lord Will Pour Out His Spirit

28 [a] “And it shall come to pass afterward,
    that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your old men shall dream dreams,
and your young men shall see visions.

Acts 1:8English Standard Version (ESV)

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Showers of Blessing

Ezekiel 34:26-27English Standard Version (ESV)

26 And I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing, and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing.27 And the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase, and they shall be secure in their land. And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I break the bars of their yoke, and deliver them from the hand of those who enslaved them.

Revelation 2:10English Standard Version (ESV)

10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.

When we receive blessings, we are also going to suffer.  The suffering brings us closer to God.  Praise Him for moments of peace and blessing.  Praise Him for the suffering that refines us!

The Lord Seeks Us and Listens to Our Prayers

Ezekiel 34:11-12English Standard Version (ESV)

The Lord God Will Seek Them Out

11 “For thus says the Lord GodBehold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness.

John 10:28English Standard Version (ESV)

28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

1 Timothy 2:8English Standard Version (ESV)

I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;

God Seeks the Righteous Man

Ezekiel 22:30-31English Standard Version (ESV)

30 And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none. 31 Therefore I have poured out my indignation upon them. I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath. I have returned their way upon their heads, declares the Lord God.”

Genesis 18:32-33English Standard Version (ESV)

32 Then he said, “Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak again but this once. Suppose ten are found there.” He answered, “For the sake of ten I will not destroy it.” 33 And the Lord went his way, when he had finished speaking to Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place.

Before the Lord destroys Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham bargains for Righteous men living in S & G.

John 7:17-18English Standard Version (ESV)

17 If anyone's will is to do God's[a] will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. 18 The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood/unrighteousness in him.

We seek to be righteous, but can't make it on our own.  When we accept God's words and teach for His will, there is no falsehood or unrighteousness in us. Praise God when that happens!

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being,
and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.

Help us to see your wisdom and choose your Righteousness!  Let us walk in Your ways.

Speak God's Word Boldly

Ezekiel 2:6-7English Standard Version (ESV)

And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions.[a] Be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house. And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.

Jeremiah 1:12English Standard Version (ESV)

12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.”

10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.

Speaking God's Word knowing that we have His blessing and knowing that no evil will befall us.
